Day Plans
We welcome you at the Airport and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the day resting and recovering from jet lag. In the evening, your guide will provide a brief orientation about the upcoming days and suggest some light local dining options.
We whisk you away to the Bangladesh National Museum for a comprehensive look at the country's history. We then wander through the Dhaka University area, the center of many political movements. In the afternoon, we visit the Mughal-era Lalbagh Fort and the majestic Ahsan Manzil. We end the day at Sadarghat, watching the sunset over the river.
We leave the bustle of Dhaka and drive 29km to Sonargaon, the ancient capital of Bengal. Here, we walk through the eerie, abandoned street of Panam City, lined with crumbling colonial mansions. We visit the Folk Art and Craft Museum and the beautiful Goaldi Mosque. After a full day of history, we drive back to Dhaka and drop you off at the Airport for your departure.
